PRAYER : FOR BAIL IN CRIME NO. 590 OF 2023 ON THE FILE OF THE RESPONDENT POLICE.

ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner/A1, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 19.01.2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 387 and 506(ii) of IPC, in Crime No.590 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 1/3

2.The case of the prosecution is that on 23.12.2023 at about 01.15 p.m., the petitioner/accused along with other accused persons restrained the defacto complainant and committed robbery for a sum of Rs.1000/- from him by using knife and also threatened him to kill. Hence, the case. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he did not commit any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he is in judicial custody from 19.01.2024 and hence, he pray for bail. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that apart from this case, the petitioner has 16 previous cases, out of which, 5 were murder case and hence, he strongly opposed to grant bail to the petitioner. 5.Considering the previous antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
