ORDER
When the matter is taken up for hearing, the parties namely, the petitioner and the defacto complainant are present before this Court.
2. The petitioner has been arrayed as accused in S.T.C.No.799 of 2014 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.2, Tuticorin, for the alleged offences under Sections 294(b), 323, IPC.
3.Both parties submitted that the matter has been settled. The presence of the parties is also recorded. The joint compromise memo has been filed, which contains the signature of the petitioner and thumb impression of the second respondent. The same was attested by the learned counsel on both sides, wherein it has been stated that the respondent NO.2 withdrew the allegations and he has no objection in quashing the charge sheet in S.T.C.N.799 of 2014.

learned counsel appearing for the second respondent. This Court has also perused the compromise memo.
5.Considering the submissions made and after going through the relevant documents and after looking at the nature of offences alleged against the petitioner, this Court is inclined to quash the proceedings as no useful purpose would be served by continuing the trail any longer. Accordingly, the proceedings in S.T.C.No.799 of 2014 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.2, Tuticorin, is quashed. The compromise memo shall form part of record. This petition is ordered.
