*********** [Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner as a Public Interest Litigation seeking to challenge the Government Order passed in G.O.(Ms)No.498 of 2007, Revenue Department, dated 05.09.2007, which is a one time concession given in favour of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

encroachers while fixing a monetary cap.

2. The petitioner, who appears in person, made only one submission. It is submitted by him that by virtue of this Government Order, all the requests made for issuance of patta are being rejected on the sole ground that the persons concerned are having income more than Rs.30,000/- per annum for rural and Rs.50,000/- per annum for urban areas. Therefore, this monetary limit will have to be increased.

3. The request made is not feasible for consideration by us. We are concerned with the decision making process and not the decision. However, the petitioner made a representation to the second respondent on 16.02.2018 in this regard. This representation is yet to be disposed of. Therefore, we direct the second respondent to consider the said representation of the petitioner dated 16.02.2018 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
