O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a case on the complaint of the petitioner dated 29.07.2017.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the proposed accused has received a sum of Rs.2,40,000/- from the petitioner, by giving a false promise that he will arrange a Government Job in the TNPL, Karur for the petitioner's son. But, he has not made any arrangement and also refused to return the amount and hence, the petitioner gave a compliant before the respondent police on 29.07.2017. He further submitted that so far, the respondent has not taken any steps to register a case.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) has submitted that the petition is still pending for enquiry.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to conduct the enquiry as expeditiously as possible and if the enquiry reveals that any cognizable offence is made out, he has to register a case and proceed further in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
