This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Thanjavur, to expedite the proceedings in Criminal Revision in Cr.R.P.No.31 of 2016 within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Thanjavur, to dispose of Cr.R.P.No.31 of 2016 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order on merits and in accordance with law. 4.With the aforesaid observation, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
