This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to provide adjacent land of the government in Survey No.1435 and 1345 measuring about 16.50 Ares as an alternative remedy situate in Vallampatti, Panaiyadippatti Post, Vembakkottai Taluk, Virudhunagar to the petitioner for acquiring the petitioner's agricultural land in Survey No.1436/1, Patta No.1760 to an extent of 17.50 Ares situates in the same village by considering his representation dated 15.07.2025.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the first respondent/District Collector will consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

3. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation 2/4

dated 15.07.2025 on merits and in accordance with law. Such representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry, affording a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
