ORDER

This petition has been filed praying to direct the second respondent herein to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner, her husband and family members of her husband on the basis of the representation given by the petitioner dated 05.07.2016. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents. 3.It is the case of the petitioner that she married one Percy Podel on 03.07.2016. As the marriage is an inter-caste marriage, it is not recognised by the petitioner's father and therefore, she has preferred a petition seeking protection from the second respondent. 4.In support of the case of the petitioner, the learned counsel for the petitioner has relied upon a decision rendered in (2006) 5 Supreme Court Cases 475 [Lata Singh Vs. State of U.P. and another]. 5.There is an undertaking by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) to give protection to the marital life of the petitioner and her husband.
