Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents herein to grant permission and give police protection to conduct "Aadal Padal Programme" dance program at about 07.00 pm on 14.03.2020 in pursuance to the festival of "Arulmigu Sri Vadakuthi Amman Selva Vinayagar Thirukovil", situated near Meenatchi Colony Main Street, Ward No.14, Pallapatti Panchayat, Sivakasi Taluk, Virudhunagar District, on considering the petitioner's representation dated 07.03.2020.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner wants this Court to direct the respondents to permit him to conduct the petition mentioned event on 14.03.2020.

3.The petitioner's counsel states that there is no rival claim and that the issue has no law and order implications. The petitioner had submitted a representation on 07.03.2020 to the second respondent.

W.P.(MD)No.5112 of 2020 4.Recording the said submissions, the second respondent is directed to issue proceedings permitting the petitioner to conduct the event. The second respondent is at liberty to incorporate appropriate conditions including timings to ensure smooth conduct of the programme. The petitioner's counsel, on instructions, gives an undertaking that he will abide by the conditions to be stipulated by the second respondent.

5.The writ petition is allowed on these terms. No costs.
