ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent herein to issue the Patta to the petitioner with regard to the property in Survey No.593/1C, situated at Ayyalur Village, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 10.01.2026.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the respondents 3 to 6, notice to the respondents 3 to 6 is hereby dispensed with.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the subject property is ancestral in nature and has been in continuous possession and enjoyment of the petitioner's family members. However, the husband of the third respondent, namely Chinnasamy, and one Chandra had obtained Pattas in respect

of the said property. Subsequently, the said Pattas were cancelled. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 10.01.2026 to the second respondent seeking issuance of patta. Since no action has been taken on the petitioner's representation, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.01.2026, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the respondents 3 to 6 and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
