This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner to be appointed in the Post of Nathaswaram (set) for the temple Arulmigu Palvananathar Swamy Thirukovil, a branch temple under the control of Arulmigu Sankaranarayana Swamy Thirukovil in Karivalamvanthanallur Village in Sankarankovil Taluk in Tenkasi District.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he completed his schooling and at present, he is aged 43 years old. The petitioner completed training for 2/5
playing Nathaswaram. The further case of the petitioner is that beyond the salaried Nathaswaram player, the petitioner is doing this profession as a service in Palvananathar Swamy Thirukovil, Karivalamvanthanallur. The petitioner applied for post of Nathaswaram Player (set) in the said temple and attended the interview on 20.01.2023. But, no result was published. Hence, the petitioner has made a representation to the third respondent on 31.01.2023, requesting to appoint the petitioner in the said post. However, the said representation was not considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has filed this writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the third respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated, 31.01.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
4. The learned standing counsel appearing for the third respondent, has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court. 3/5

Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 31.01.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
