Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to exercise the statutory powers under Rule 15 B of under Rule 16 of the Tamil Nadu Subordinate Service (Discipline and Appeal) Rules 1955 to review the punishment imposed against the petitioner in the disciplinary proceedings confirmed in RC.No.057679/145/A.P.II(3)/ 2015, dated 27.05.2016 of the 2nd respondent herein and consequently direct the respondents by giving notional promotion and to pay the arrears of salary as well as difference of pension amount. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The limited prayer sought for in the present writ petition is for a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's review dated 02.12.2016, with regard to the punishment of reduction in time scale of pay by two stages for a period of two years with cumulative effect.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions submitted that the first respondent may require three months time to dispose of the appeal. 4.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the review of the petitioner, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already disposed of.

5.Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
