PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 to direct the respondents herein to commence investigation in Crime No.15 of 2024 on the file of Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Theni District, file final report without any further delay.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file final report in Crime No. 15 of 2024 on the file of the respondent.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the defacto complainant in this case and based on his complaint, the present FIR has been registered. However, without conducting proper investigation the case is still pending. Hence, this petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No. 15 of 2024 for the offence punishable under Sections 406, 420, 120B, 294(b), 506(2) IPC. The investigation is pending. Hence, he seeks one month time to complete the investigation and to file a final report before the concerned jurisdictional Court. 4.Recording the aforesaid submission, the respondent police Page No. 2 of 4

is directed to file final report in Cr.No.15 of 2024 before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
