ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for records in Crime No.242 of 2012 on the file of the first respondent and quash the same.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent and the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent.

3. The petitioners are arrayed as accused Nos.6 and 12 in Crime No.242 of 2012 for the alleged offences under Sections 147, 148, 323, 324, 307 of the Indian Penal Code and also under section 7(1)(A) of CLA Act and seeking to quash the said proceedings, the present petition has been filed.

4. When the matter is taken up for hearing, a joint memo of compromise has been filed by both parties and it is also signed by both the parties and counsels, in which, it is stated that there is no necessary to proceed further in future. The petitioner as well as the second respondent are also present before this Court. The said joint memo of compromise is taken on record.

5. In view of the said compromise memo, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose will be served by proceedings further in this matter.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the proceedings in Crime No.242 of 2014 on the file of the first respondent is quashed.
