ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2025 and to issue Patta in her name in respect of the property comprised in Old S.F.No.122/1 (New S.F.No.122/1A), admeasuring to an extent of Acre 0.85 cents out of Acre 1.70 cents, situated at Panayakurichi Village, Thiruverumbur Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District, within a specific time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the subject property. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 03.11.2025 to the respondent seeking issuance of Patta. However, despite the lapse of considerable time, no action has been taken on the petitioner's representation. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2025, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
