Respondents Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to include petitioner's name in the State wide Seniority List on par with other Plot Watchers so as to enable the petitioner to get petitioner's services regularised in the post of Plot Watcher in the light of G.O.Ms.202, Environment and Forest Department dated 18.12.2013, by considering petitioner's representation dated 08.03.2018.

O R D E R

The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to include petitioner's name in the State wide Seniority List on par with other Plot Watchers so as to enable the petitioner to get his services regularisation in the post of Plot Watcher in the light of G.O.Ms.202, Environment and Forest Department dated 18.12.2013, by considering petitioner's representation dated 08.03.2018.

2.Heard Mr.B.Karuppasamy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had been working more than 10 years in the respondent department as a temporary staff, whereas, similarly placed persons have already been regularised. Therefore, seeking the same benefit, the petitioner had been requesting the respondents and in this regard, a representation dated 08.03.2018 was made to the respondents. However, no action is forthcoming from the respondents. Therefore, the present writ petition is filed. Hence, the learned counsel seeks that if a direction is given to the respondents to consider the representation and an order to that effect is directed to be passed, the petitioner will be satisfied.

4.I have heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents in this regard, who would state that the petitioner's representation would be considered and an order to that effect shall be passed within a period to be stipulated by this Court.

5.In view of the above stated submission made by both sides, this writ petition is disposed of with the following direction.: "The second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.03.2018 on merits and in accordance with law and pass a reasoned order thereon, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order." 6.With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
