ORDER

The petitioner, with a grievance that the respondent has not assessed the tax for the house property in Door No.115c11 situated in 1/4

Survey No.20/178, Kodaikannal Town, Dindigul District, has submitted a representation dated 27.10.2023 to the respondent and also filed this writ petition before this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that originally, the property belonged to the petitioner's father-in-law and after his demise, it was allotted to the petitioner, wherein, she has constructed a house and now, the patta stands in her name. At the instance of one Anthony, who is working as Municipal Contractor, the respondent is not assessing the tax for the petitioner's property. In this regard, she has also submitted a representation to the respondent on 27.10.2023. Since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr.Mauriya, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for the respondent Municipality, submits that the petitioner has not produced the relevant documents and therefore, the respondent has not 2/4

taken any decision on the petitioner's representation. He further submits that as and when the petitioner produces the relevant documents to the respondent, a decision would be taken and orders would be passed within a reasonable time.

4. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to produce the relevant documents before the respondent/the Commissioner of Kodaikannal Municipality on 12.03.2024. On production of such documents, the respondent shall consider the same and pass orders within a period of three weeks from thereon. No costs.
