ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to quash the impugned order of the second respondent in Letter No.AEE/D/ KAMUDHI/C.I/F.THEFT/D.No. 1055/2025, dated 06.02.2025.

2. With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of, at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, the second respondent has passed the impugned order regarding the electricity theft without providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, thereby, attempting to tarnish and defame the petitioner's image. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. Heard both sides.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the view that the petitioner is at liberty to provide an explanation regarding the assessment order issued by the second respondent, within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receiving the petitioner's objections,

the second respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within one month thereafter.

6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
