Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C. ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who is arrayed as accused No.2, apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Section 420 of IPC and 5 & 7(1) of Tamil Nadu Lotteries Regulation Act, in Crime No.330 of 2016, on the file of the respondent police and hence, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused selling the banned lottery tickets. When the Police party rounded the accused and seized lottery tickets, the petitioner ran away from the scene of occurrence. On complaint, case has been registered for the above said offences.

3.The case of the petitioner is that he is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and prays for anticipatory bail in his favour. 4.It is submitted by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) that the petitioner along with other accused sold the lottery tickets, which are banned in Tamil Nadu.

5.Considering the fact that the petitioner sold the lottery tickets, which are banned in Tamil Nadu, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Hence, this petition is dismissed.
