O R D E R
This petition is filed for issuing a direction to the respondent Police to file a final report in Crime No. 333 of 2017 before the jurisdictional Court within a time frame fixed by this Court.
2. The petitioner states that he is the de facto complainant in Crime No. 333 of 2017. On the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner, a case was registered in Crime No.333 of 2017 for the offences under Sections 406, 420 and 506(i) of IPC on the file of the respondent Police on 01.06.2017.
3. The case of the petitioner is that the proposed accused in the complaint received a sum of Rs.4,80,000/- from the petitioner under a promise to sell a property to the petitioner. It is the further case of the petitioner that the accused in the complaint is not a real owner and that he has cheated the petitioner. Though the complaint was lodged by the petitioner and it was registered, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the proposed accused viz., Sivalingam, is working as a Head Constable in Police Department and that therefore, there is no further progress in the complaint.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent on instructions would submit that the investigation is under process and that the final report is likely to be filed within a period of three months.

5. Recording the said submission, the above Criminal Original petition is allowed and the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a Final Report in Crime No.333 of 2017, before the jurisdictional Magistrate, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
