The order of status quo was granted on 26.12.2025.
2. The present writ petition has been filed seeking clarification of the order dated 06.01.2026 passed in W.P.(MD).No.98 of 2026 regarding the order of status quo to be maintained as on 26.12.2025 more particularly as to whether the seventh respondent would continue as the Chairman, Board of Trustees of Arulmighu Mariamman Thirukovil, Irukkangudi, Sattur Taluk, Virudhunagar District.

3. The issue before this Court is not with respect to the signing of the cheque per se. However, this Court suggested that both the Chairman and the Executive Officer / petitioner should sign the cheque. Both parties have accepted the said suggestion.
4. In view of the above submission, this Court directs that the Executive Officer / petitioner and the seventh respondent shall jointly sign the cheques for disbursement of salary and meeting other expenses. It is made clear that the seventh respondent and the Executive Officer / petitioner of the Temple shall jointly operate the bank account.
