(Order of the Court was made by G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.) This Petition has been filed to direct the to direct Superintendent of Prison, District Prison, Pudukottai to temporarily release the detenue by name Dinesh Babu @ Neruppu Dinesh, 25 yrs previously detained at Central Prison, Trichy, now detained at District Prison, Pudukottai now detained at District Prison, Pudukottai under Act.14 of 1982 and

branded as "Goonda" by the Inspector of Police, Ganesh Nagar Police Station, Pudukottai District in his proceedings in Detention order in P.D.O.No.01 of 2026 dated 21.01.2026 to attend the daughter's marriage for a period of two days from 19.02.2026 and 20.02.2026 which is going to be held on 20.02.2026 at Lena Marriage Hall, Pudukottai and the consequential ceremonies based on the petitioner's representation dated 12.02.2025

2. The petitioner has sent a representation that the marriage of the detenu's sister is fixed on 20.02.2026 and as such sought for one day leave while pending the Habeus Corpus Petition challenging the order of detention.

3. The detenu was branded as Goonda and detained under Act 14 of 1982 by an order dated 21.01.2026, therefore the petitioner can very well sought for leave before the Government as well as the third respondent.

4. In view of the same, this Court is not inclined to grant interim bail, hence the petition stands dismissed.

5. It is made clear that if any representation submitted by the petitioner seeking one day leave the authorities concerned are directed to consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law forthwith.
