The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition for issuing a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's complaint dated 0703.2018 and 19.03.2018 seeking protection from his son viz., Rex Inego, who is harassing and torturing him with a view to grab his house and other retirement benefits and preventing his daughter from meeting and providing him food, health care etc., and issue directions to the respondents to protect his life and property.
2. According to the petitioner, he has already approached the competent authority for protection under the provision of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Citizens Act, 2007. Now, he seeks police protection from the respondents / Police to his life and property.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that if the petitioner is having any threat to his life and limb, he has to give a representation to the concerned respondent and the same shall be considered in accordance with law.
4. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the following Directions:
" It is open to the petitioner to make a fresh representation to the second respondent, if it is necessary and in the event of any such representation being received, the second respondent is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law."
No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
