O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing the first respondent to issue passport to the petitioner.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in Crime No.328 of 2025, on the file of the second respondent, which has culminated in filing of a charge sheet in C.C.No.961 of 2025 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur, Madurai District. Though the petitioner was implicated in another criminal case in Crime No.542 of 2006 on the file of the second respondent, he was acquitted on 21.06.2011 by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur, Madurai District.

3. Considering the above said submissions, the petitioner is directed to approach the trial Court in C.C.No.961 of 2025, seeking permission of the Court to go abroad. In case, if any such application is filed, the same shall be disposed of within a period of four weeks. Based upon the order passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Melur, Madurai District, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

4. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
