The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to survey and demarcate the petitioner's property.
2.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in the writ petition, with the consent of the learned Counsel on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 3.The petitioner earlier made an application seeking survey of his property and also paid necessary charges on 29.10.2024. The said application was based on patta No.2283, standing in the name of the petitioner besides other revenue records. Though the first respondent fixed 18.12.2024 as the date for survey, on the said date, the survey could not be conducted because of objections of neighbouring land owners namely M.Sankar and M.Palanisamy. Thereafter, the petitioner has received a message stating that the survey has been rescheduled to 27.12.2024. However, there has been no survey conducted on 27.12.2024 by the respondents or on 2/5
any other subsequent date. Hence, the petitioner made a representation on 07.02.2024, seeking survey to be conducted. As there has been no response to the said representation, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
4.Considering the limited relief sought for by the writ petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the first respondent with the assistance of the second respondent to conduct survey and demarcate the petitioner's property based on the petitioner's application dated 29.01.2024, within a period of eight [8] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after hearing the neighbours namely M.Sankar and M.Palanisamy. There shall be no order as to costs.
