ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to correct the measurement of the petitioner's property at New Ward-N, Block 16, New T.S.No.2, Trichy Town Village, Tiruchirappalli East, from 0.0069.0 sq.mtrs. to 0.0080.5 sq.mtrs. in the Town Survey Land Register (TSLR) based on the second respondent's own confirmation in Na.Ka.A2/3084/2024 dated 05.06.2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of the subject property. The measurement of the petitioner's property has been wrongly recorded in the Town

Survey Land Register as 0.0069.0 square meters instead of the actual measurement of 0.0080.5 square meters. In order to rectify the said discrepancy, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation dated 07.02.2024 to the first respondent, requesting correction of the measurement in the revenue records. Thereafter, a survey was conducted and, pursuant to the said survey, the first respondent issued detailed proceedings dated 05.06.2025, explicitly confirming that the actual measurement is 0.0080.5 square meters. Thereafter, no further action has been taken. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered on merits and appropriate orders will be passed in accordance with law, after conducting an enquiry, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to conduct an enquiry on the petitioner's representation 07.02.2024, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other persons, who

may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. NCC : Yes / No (K.SURENDER, J.) Index : Yes / No 27.02.2026 smn2 To:- 1.The Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruchirappalli, Trichy District.
