Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the fourth respondent to issue the equivalence certificate for M.Phil Summer Sequential Programs as per notification dated 19.07.2016 under the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.

O R D E R
*********** This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus, seeking for a direction to the fourth respondent to issue the equivalence certificate for M.Phil Summer Sequential Programs, as per Notification dated 19.07.2016 under the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks similar relief granted by this Court in the case of Kadambari vs. 1/3
The Registrar, Alagappa University, Karaikudi, Sivagangai District in W.P.(MD)No.19953 of 2021 on 16.02.2022 and the petitioner is satisfied, if the certificate is issued with the format prescribed in Kadambari's case cited supra.
3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents and the learned counsel appearing for the fourth respondent have no objection to the request sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. 4.In Kadambari's case cited supra, the model certificate reads as follows:
'CERTIFICATE'
This is to certify that Ms.M.KATHAMPARI, Reg.No.2017422055 studied M.Phil in Tamil (Summer Sequential Programme) in the Department of Tamil during the year 2017-18. Since the regulations governing for the full time M.Phil programme with regard to the syllabus, passing minimum, eligibility for guideship, etc shall apply to the candidates enrolled under PartTime/Summer Sequential Programme also. M.Phil in Tamil (Summer Sequential Programme) is equivalent to M.Phil. In Tamil Part-Time.'
5.No prejudice will be caused to the fourth respondent, if a direction is given to him to issue the certificate as per the model prescribed above.
6.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of by giving a direction to the fourth respondent to issue the certificate as per the model prescribed above, within a period of one [1] week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
