ORDER

The petitioner/Accused No.1 filed this petition to quash the FIR in Crime No.18 of 2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police, City Crime Branch, Trichy City, wherein he is said to have committed offence under Sections 406 and 420 IPC.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner/A1 induced the defacto complainant and his relatives to make investment to the tune of Rs.2,96,00,000/- in the A2's Oil Company situated at Qatar under the promise that they would make repayment with interest and they did not either repay the amount or make the payment of interest and hence, the defacto complainant preferred a complaint before the respondent police and the same was registered in Crime No.18 of 2020 for the above said offence and to quash the same, the petitioner filed this petition.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent would submit that the investigation in Crime No.18 of 2020 has been completed and charge sheet has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Trichy.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed with liberty to the petitioner work out his remedy in the manner known to law. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition stands closed.
