ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for an alleged offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 385, 406, 494, 498(A) and 506(ii) of IPC r/w. Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act in Crime No.10 of 2016, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the the marriage between A1 and defacto complainant was solemnized in the year 2001. After marriage, A1 along with other accused persons demanded dowry and harassed the defacto complainant and driven her out from the matrimonial home. The petitioners arranged marriage to the first accused with another lady. On complaint, a case has been registered against the petitioners.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are in laws and they are innocent and they have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and their names have been falsely implicated in this case.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that even though the marriage subsisting between A1 and defacto complainant the petitioners arranged second marriage to A1 and the investigation of the case is pending.

5. Considering the serious nature of allegations levelled against the petitioners, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
