PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973/Section 528 of Bharathiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 to call for the records relating to the FIR in Crime No.233 of 2022 on the file of the first respondent police and quash the same as against the petitioners as illegal.

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.233 of 2022 on the file of the first respondent police.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) for the first respondent, on instructions, would submit that the first respondent police, after investigation, closed the case as a 'mistake of fact' and filed a referred charge sheet (negative final report) before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Uthamapalayam.

3. In view of the same, nothing survives for adjudication in this Criminal Original Petition. Thus, this Criminal Original Petition is Page No. 2 of 4

dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
