ORDER

The petitioner is a devotee of Arulmighu Adi Korakkanatha Samy Thirukkovil, Tiruppurvanam, Manamaduri Taluk, Sivagangai District. According to the petitioner, the said temple is a scheme temple. With a grievance that the 3rd respondent, a poojari of the temple is indulged in several illegal acts during the conduct of poojas in the temple, he has submitted a representation dated 14.02.2014 to the respondents 1 and 2. Since the said representation has not been considered, he has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to consider his representation dated 14.02.2024. 2/5

Mr.P.Subba Raj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2 and submits that the petitioner's representation dated 14.02.2024 is under consideration and notice has been issued to the 3rd respondent and they will take a decision on the petitioner's representation within a reasonable time.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner insisted that the prime festival for this temple is going to be conducted on 08.03.2024 and therefore, the petitioner's representation dated 14.02.2024 needs to be considered at the earliest.

4. In view of the order to be passed in this writ petition, notice to the 3rd respondent is dispensed with.

5. Since it is reported that based on the petitioner's representation, the 2nd respondent has already contemplated an enquiry, this Court, without expressing anything on the merits of the case and 3/5

his representation, directs the 2nd respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner after providing an opportunity of hearing to the 3rd respondent and take a decision on or before 07.03.2024.
