: Respondent Prayer: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission and adequate Police Protection to conduct Aadal Padal Programme on 16.04.2018, 18.04.2018 and 19.04.2018 for 3 days at 7.00 p.m to 12.00 am in pursuant to the temple festival in "Sri Muthumariamman Temple" situate in Edaiyathi Post, Pattukottai, Thanjavur District based on the petitioner's representation dated 12.04.2018 within the time limit that may stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the respondent to grant permission and adequate Police Protection to conduct "Aadal Padal" Programme on 16.04.2018, 18.04.2018 and 19.04.2018 for 3 days at 7.00 p.m to 12.00 a.m., in pursuant to the temple festival in "Sri Muthumariamman Temple" situated in Edaiyathi Post, Pattukottai, Thanjavur District based on the petitioner's representation dated 12.04.2018

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3. According to the petitioner, the programme will be scheduled on 16.04.2018 i.e., today. The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition at the fag end of the festival. Therefore, this Court cannot pass any positive direction to the petitioner. However, it is open to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 12.04.2018, as expeditiously as possible, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
