ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to register the FIR based on the petitioner's complaint dated 09.07.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents.

3. The sum and substance of the complaint preferred by the petitioner runs as under:

The proposed accused Anusha @ Anbu Priya was making misrepresentation that she is the daughter of former Member of Parliament of Karur District. While the petitioner was residing at America, the proposed accused proposed love to him through Facebook and insisted the petitioner to arrange for their marriage. Therefore, the marriage was solemnized on 22.11.2015 at Veerapandi. While both were living at Chennai, the proposed https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

accused demanded money from the petitioner and as such, the petitioner gave Rs.15 lakhs on various occasions. Even thereafter, the demand continued and she threatened to commit suicide. While so, the petitioner came to know that the proposed accused already married another person in the year 2008 and the marriage has also been registered. Thereafter in the year 2011, she married another person by name Murugan in Trichy and pursuant to which, a case has been registered against her in Crime No.47 of 2011 on the file of the All Women Police Station, Fort, Trichy. When the petitioner came to know these facts, he has preferred a complaint against the proposed accused on 09.07.2016. Since, no case has been registered, the petitioner is before this Court with this petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), on instructions, would submit that pursuant to the complaint given by the petitioner, a case has been registered in Crime No. 727 of 2016 under Sections, 420, 294(b) and 506(i) IPC.
