ORDER

The present petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct twowheeler rally by the petitioner's political party to protest against the prevention of atrocities on 28.02.2025 at about 11.00 A.M., from Ambedkar Statue, Outpost, Madurai to Thiruvalluvar Statue, Anna Bus Stand, Madurai by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 22.02.2025 and 24.02.2025.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that the present place is not feasible and it would create law and order issue and traffic issue. Therefore, 2/5

already two places earmarked by the District Collector and this place is not earmarked for conducting rally. However, they received the representations of the petitioner and thereby, they will consider and dispose of the same tomorrow itself.

3. Since the prayer of the petitioner is to consider the representations of the petitioner and the respondents also admitted the receipt of the representations and they also assured to pass order tomorrow itself, this Court directs the second respondent to dispose the representations of the petitioner, dated 22.02.2025 and 24.02.2025 tomorrow in accordance with law on merits.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 26.02.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes BTR 3/5
