This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction, to direct the 2nd respondent police to register the case on the complaint of the petitioner dated 01.10.2017.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 01.10.2017, a case has already been registered in Crime No.350 of 2017, for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 148, 420, 447, 294(b), 354 aqnd 506(i) I.P.C. read with 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) and 3(2)(Va) SC/ST (POA) Act, 1989 on the file of the respondent police. He has also produced a copy of the FIR to that effect.
