O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 not to harass the petitioner in the guise of enquiring a civil dispute by threatening the petitioner to execute a sale deed in favour of the fourth respondent. 2.According to the petitioner, there is a civil dispute pending between the petitioner and the fourth respondent. Already the fourth respondent had given so many complaints against petitioner, again the fourth respondent has lodged a complaint against the petitioner. Taking advantage of the same, now the third respondent is threatening the petitioner to execute a sale deed in favour of the fourth respondent by interfering with the civil dispute. Hence this petition. 2/5

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that based on the fourth respondent's complaint, they called the petitioner for enquiry and they will enquire the matter and dispose of the same within one week. 4.Mr.P.J.Ramesh Raja, learned Counsel takes notice for the fourth respondent and submits that the petitioner has cheated the fourth respondent thereby, he lodged the complaint and now the same is under enquiry.

5.Heard both sides and perused the records.

6.The third respondent denied the allegation that the respondent police have threatened the petitioner to execute a sale deed in favour of the private respondent. The fourth respondent gave the complaint against the petitioner and thereby, they called the petitioner for enquiry. It is for the respondents 1 to 3 to adopt the procedure established under law, for enquiry purpose.

7.Since the respondents 2 and 3 denied the allegations levelled 3/5

against them in respect of harassment, recording the same, the second respondent is directed to complete the enquiry within a period of one week in accordance with law.

8.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
