This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner and his family members under the guise of enquiry.

A status report was filed by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, wherein it has been stated in paragraph No.3 that the respondent police have neither insisted nor threatened the petitioner to withdraw the suit and the respondent police undertakes not to insist the petitioner to withdraw the suit.
