Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of mandamus directing the the Respondent 1 to 5 to select and appoint the petitioner as a MBC General PSTM candidate based on the marks secured by him to the post of Draftsman in Survey and Settlement Wing or Surveyor-cumAssistant Draftsman in Tamilnadu Town and Country Planning Department as notified by the Recruitment Notification in Notification No.18/2022 issued by the 3rd respondent, Advertisement No.622 dated 29.07.2022 as per the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.9415 of 2023 dated 07.08.2023 in respect of similarly placed candidate and implemented by the respondents by rectifying their mistakes in the application of PSTM reservation applied by them with effect from the date of appointment of the candidate who secured lesser marks under the PSTM reservation.

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the the respondent 1 to 5 to select and appoint the petitioner as a MBC General PSTM candidate based on the marks secured by him to the post of Draftsman in Survey and Settlement Wing or Surveyor-cum-Assistant Draftsman in Tamilnadu Town and Country Planning Department as notified by the Recruitment Notification in Notification No.18/2022 issued by the 3rd respondent, Advertisement No.622 dated 29.07.2022 in terms of the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.9415 of 2023 dated 07.08.2023.

Considering the limited scope in the relief sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court hereby direct the respondents 1 to 5 to consider the representation given by the petitioner on 22.02.2024 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law in the light of the order passed by this Court in W.P.No. 9415 of 2023 dated 07.08.2023, if the said order is applicable to the facts and circumstances of the present case, after giving sufficient opportunity to the petitioner. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve(12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5
