.. Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. praying to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioner on the guise of enquiry and grant such other and further reliefs which this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the circumstances of this case.

ORDER

It is an application seeking a direction to the second respondent not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that second respondent police frequently called the petitioner and harassed him under the guise of enquiry in respect of a complaint lodged by his daughter-in-law. He would further submit that the petitioner is being threatened by the second respondent Police to pay a sum of Rs.2 lakhs.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that the petition filed against the petitioner and his son and wife is registered in Crime No.18 of 2016 under Section 498-A IPC; https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the second respondent did not cause any harassment to the petitioner and there was no such demand made by the second respondent, however, he gave an undertaking that if at all the presence of the petitioner is required, the second respondent would call the petitioner for enquiry only after issuing summons giving specific date, time and place.

5.It is needless to say that rights and liabilities arising under the Criminal Procedure Code would be available to the petitioner, as the case is registered against the petitioner. 6.Recording the above undertaking given by the learned Government Advocate, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
