ORDER

The petitioner approaches this Court to direct the Juvenile Justice Board, Tirunelveli, to accept the surrender and consider the bail petition filed by the petitioner on the same date in accordance with law in Crime No.68 of 2013.

2. The petitioner is alleged to have committed an offence under Sections 147, 323, 324 of IPC r/w Section 4 of Tamail Nadu Prohibition of Women Act and 3(1)(x) of SC/ST Act. It is stated by the petitioner that he is innocent.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) for the respondents.

4. Considering the submission of the petitioner and considering the fact and circumstances by issuing a direction to the Juvenile Justice Board to dispose of the petition for bail on the same day, no prejudice would be caused to the prosecution, the following direction is issued :- "In the event of the petitioner surrendering before the Juvenile Justice Board, Tirunelveli and his filing of petition seeking bail, the Juvenile Justice Board shall dispose of the said petition for bail on the same day strictly on merits and in accordance with law." https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
