....Respondents PRAYER:- Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to waive the monthly rent of the petitioner's shop No.14 at Old Municipal office Complex, Thuraiyur, Trichy District for the month of June 2020 to September 2020 and reduce the monthly rent to 50 percentage for the Month of October and November 2020 due to Covid - 19 impact, by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 27.02.2021.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the third respondent to waive the monthly rent of the shop that was leased to the petitioner by the respondent Municipality during the covid pandemic for the period from June 2020 to September, 2020.

2. Heard Mr.R.Gowrishankar, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.S.Jeyapriya, learned Government Advocate for the official respondents and Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned counsel for the third respondent.

3. In the considered view of this Court, representation made by the petitioner on 27.02.2021 can be considered by the 3rd respondent in line with G.O.No.337, dated 16.06.2023. A decision shall be taken by the 3rd respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
