ORDER

This Criminal Original petition is filed for issuing a direction to the respondent police to file a final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Madurai, in Crime No.1006 of 2014.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. Though the complaint was lodged on 19.11.2014 and a case was registered in Crime No.1006 of 2014 for the alleged offences under Sections 294(b), 506(i) and 420 of I.P.C., it is stated by the petitioner that there was no progress and that therefore, a direction for expediting the investigation and to file final report will be in the interest of justice.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the investigation is almost over and that final

report is likely to be filed within a period of two months.

5. Recording the said submission, the Criminal Original petition is allowed and the respondent is directed to file final report in Crime No.1006 of 2014 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.VI, Madurai, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
