The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the first respondent to issue passport to the petitioner based upon his application dated 26.12.2025.

2. The learned Government Advocate(crl.side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in Cr.No.50 of 2022 on the file of the second respondent which has culminated in filing of a charge sheet in C.C.No.1054 of 2025 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, Orathanadu.

3. In view of the above said facts, the petitioner is director to approach the concerned trial Court seeking permission of the Court to go abroad. In case if any such application is filed, the same shall be disposed of within a period of 4(four) weeks. Based upon the orders to be passed by the concerned trial Court, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
