This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to grant permission and necessary Police protection to perform the cultural programme (ie.,) Adal Padal Dance Programme on 22.04.2018 at 7.00 pm to 12.00 pm in the eve of Marriage function Vizha at Kallipattu, Sembanoor, Sivagangai District.
2.Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3.By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
4.The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner made a representation on 02.04.2018, to the respondent for grant of permission and police protection to conduct Adal Padal programme on 22.04.2018 in the eve of Marriage function. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
But, so far, no order has been passed by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner left with no other alternative has approached this Court with the present writ petition.
5.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 02.04.2018 is still pending and the same shall be considered on merits and in accordance with law. 6.In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the respondents enclosing a copy of this order and on receipt of the same the respondents are directed to consider the said representation of the petitioner, in accordance with law, on or before 20.04.2018. 7.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
