This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent police to register a case on the basis of the complaint of the petitioner, which has been served on the second respondent on 01.01.2016.

2.According to the petitioner, he made a complaint against the proposed accused. Since no action has been taken on his complaint, he filed the present Criminal Original Petition before this Court. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) has produced a copy of the closure report and submitted that in the light of G.O.Ms.No.170, Home Department, dated 20.01.1971, the Commercial Crime Investigation Wing will attend all the criminal cases relating to all Co-operative Institutions and the cases are usually referred to the police by the concerned Deputy Registrars and the complaint should be addressed to the Superintendent of Police, CCIW-CID, Chennai. Therefore, as per the said Government Order, the Deputy https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Registrar of the Co-operative Society is the only competent authority to give complaint to CCIW-CID. Hence, the said complaint was closed.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks liberty to approach the concerned authority to redress his grievance.
