ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, praying to call for the records on the file of the call for records pertaining to the M.C.No.1 of 2014, pending on the file of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Thoothukudi and quash the proceedings as against the petitioner.

2. The petitioner is the husband of the respondent. After making submission, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it is suffice that the personal appearance of the petitioner may be dispensed with since the petitioner is residing at Mumbai. Considering the same, appearance of the petitioner is dispensed with before the lower court. Further, the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Thoothukudi is directed to dispose of the case in M.C.No.1 of 2014, pending on his file within a period of nine weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
