O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to give permission and police protection to conduct cultural program (Music and Dance) on 01.05.2018 during the temple festival of Arulmigu Sri Narayanasamy Kovil situated at Athinathapuram, Alwarthirunagari, Tuticorin District by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 04.04.2018.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. According to the petitioner, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 04.04.2018 to grant permission and police protection to conduct cultural program during the above said temple festival. The said representation has not been considered. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that sofar, the representation of the petitioner for granting permission to conduct cultural program was not considered by the respondents and the same is pending.

5. In the light of the above submissions of the parties concerned, without expressing any opinion, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.04.2018 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 28.04.2018.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
