O R D E R

The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue Free Bus Pass Travel Identity card for the petitioner and his wife on par with the other Retired/Voluntarily Retired employees.

2.Heard Mr.A.Rahul, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Sathiyasingh, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents.

3.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is a medically discharged employee of the respondent Corporation from 28.07.2015. Though he is entitled to get the free bus pass for the erstwhile employees of the respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Corporation, the same has not been so far given to the petitioner and his wife. Therefore, he made representation in this regard on 29.07.2016.

However, nothing was forthcoming from the respondents. Therefore, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that if a direction is given to the respondents to consider the said representation and an order to that effect is passed, the petitioner would be satisfied.

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for herein, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage with the following direction:

"The first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.07.2016 regarding his request for grant of free bus pass, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order".

5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
