Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned tender notice issued by the third respondent for leasing out fishery rights and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to strictly follow the Tamil Nadu Inland Fisheries Lease and License Rules, 1972 issued under G.O.Ms.No.1749, Agriculture Department dated 21.06.1972 and G.O.Ms.No.1189, Forest and Fisheries dated 10.10.1984 issued in respect of Palani Taluk Fishery right.

ORDER

The petitioner herein questions the auction notice dated Nil issued by the third respondent inviting the tenders for granting fisheries rights in respect of the Tanks mentioned therein. The said notice is questioned by the petitioner herein principally on the ground that the procedure laid down in G.O.Ms.No.201, Animal and Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Department, dated 19.10.2017 is applicable to Madurai District and former South Arcot District. It does not apply to Dindigul District. The case on hand pertains only to Dindigul District. Since the said Government Order has no application whatsoever, I am of the view that no interference is called for.

2. The Writ Petition is dismissed accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
