************ This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and necessary Police Protection to perform the cultural programme (ie) Adal Padal Dance Programme on 29.05.2018 at 7.00 p.m. to 12.00 p.m. in the festival of Arulmighu Sri Kaliamman Thirukovil at Thummakundu, Mehamalai, Andipatti Taluk, Theni District. 2.Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
4.The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner made a representation on 07.04.2018, to the respondent for grant of permission and police protection to conduct Adal Padal programme on 29.05.2018 at 7.00 p.m. to 12.00 p.m. at Arulmighu Sri Kaliamman Thirukovil at Thummakundu, Mehamalai, Andipatti Taluk, Theni District. But, so far, no order has been passed by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner, left with no other alternative has approached this Court with the present writ petition.
5.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 07.04.2018 is still pending and the same shall be considered in the light of the order passed in W.P.(MD)No.7911 of 2018, dated 12.04.2018.
6.In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the respondents enclosing a copy of this order and on receipt of the same the respondents are directed to consider the said representation of the petitioner, in accordance with law. The said exercise shall be completed on or before 05.05.2018.
7.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
