basis of the petitioner's representation dated 06.01.2025. For Petitioner : Mr.K.Arunraj For R1 to R3 : Mr.B.Saravanan Additional Government Pleader
ORDER
The petitioner seeks limited relief of issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to cancel the patta No.604, which has been issued by the second respondent in favour of the fourth respondent.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the fourth respondent has been granted free house site patta in patta No.604, though the subject lands in respect of which patta has been granted are being used as pathway and originally classified as Government poramboke lands. The petitioner has made a representation on 06.01.2025 seeking cancellation of the said patta issued to the fourth respondent.
3. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, without 2/5
going into the merits or the entitlement of the petitioner to seek cancellation patta, it would suffice to dispose of the writ petition directing the first respondent to consider and pass orders on merits, in accordance with law, disposing of the petitioner's representation dated 06.01.2025 within a period of twleve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after hearing the interested parties if any.
4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. Index : Yes / No NCC : Yes / No 03.03.2025 am 3/5
